August June Desserts is a North Carolina Department of Agriculture approved home based bakery. We accept inquiries/orders on Tuesday - Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. We are closed on Monday, Saturday and Sunday. Bespoke cakes are thoughtfully designed and made from scratch to reflect your event, style, and preferences.
Each cake is individually crafted—never mass-produced—with carefully selected flavors, finishes, and design elements curated by our studio.
All cakes/desserts made by August June Desserts are made from scratch. We believe that there is NOTHING better than a freshly baked dessert!
August June Desserts takes pride in the fact that each order is custom and prepared just for you to ensure freshness and quaility. We recommend that you place your order as soon as you are aware of your event date as our calendar fills quickly.
- Place cupcake/dessert cake/custom cake orders at least three weeks in advance of your event date so that we can ensure we have all items in stock to create the perfect dessert for you.
- Place tiered cake or large orders at least two months in advance of your event date.
- If a last-minute order is accepted, the price of the order will be doubled to accommodate and compensate us for the additional time spent to insert your order into our schedule, creating a cake design, and ordering supplies.
Custom cake commissions begin at $250.00 and tiered cakes begin at $350.00. Final pricing is dependent upon the number of guests served and design complexity

There is a minimum order of two dozen cupcakes, with one flavor per dozen.
Of course! August June Desserts enjoys customizing our desserts for your specific needs. For custom orders, please complete the form on the Contact (https://www.augustjunedesserts.com/contactus)page and someone from our team will contact you regarding your inquiry.
We do not replicate cakes desgned by other bakers. We believe that each of our clients deserves a unique cake created specifically for their event. We do use ideas and photos provided by clients as inspiration to create the perfect cake.
For color matching, we ask that you provide a swatch of the shade(s) you want to utilize for your desserts/cake. We will do our best to match the color to within 3 shades (darker or lighter) of the provided swatch. With edible products and food grade dyes, exact matches are sometimes difficult to achieve. Please note that dark colors will sometimes have a bitter taste or stain mouth/teeth.
We provide cake sampler boxes for orders with a minimum amount of $500.00. The boxes contain 4 cake/buttercream flavors of the bakers choice.
Cake sampler boxes are $55.00. The fee must be paid in advance of the cake sampler box production. If the fee is not received, the box will not be processed.
All of our desserts are custom made, and we do not use frozen samples. The cost of the sampler box covers the time and supplies to make the samples and provides compensation to us if samples are made, and the sampler box is not picked up or the order is canceled.
Please keep in mind that cake samples are prepared specifically for your appointment. We ask for the courtesy of 72 hours notice if your consultation needs to be rescheduled.

We do not offer gluten free or vegan cakes.
Our products are made in a facility that does come in contact with dairy, and nuts/nut products.
We accept payment via debit/credit card, or online payment via PayPal or Square.
Orders are not placed on our calendar until the 50% non-refundable retainer or full payment is received. Communication via email or via phone regarding the order are not considered as “holding the date” for your event.
Once the retainer or payment is received, your order will be added to our calendar and preparation will begin. The retainer/payment reserves your event date/time and is non-refundable or transferable.
Invoices will be canceled if not paid on the due date. Orders are not processed or considered until the retainer/full payment has been made. An automated email reminder will be sent on the due date if the invoice has not been paid prior to the due date.
The balance of your payment must be received two weeks prior to your event. If payment is not received, the contract is null and void and the order will be canceled with no refunds.
All orders must be paid in full two weeks before your event date. Please utilize the online payment links that are included in your invoice to submit payment.
At this time, we only offer shipping for our gourmet cookies and brownies when they are on the menu.
Delivery fees are calculated using round-trip mileage from our studio.
Set-up services are offered starting at $75 and vary based on event requirements.
We proudly serve clients beyond Charlotte, NC. All travel-related expenses (transportation, mileage, lodging, meals, cake storage, and any additional costs) are incorporated into final pricing to ensure a seamless experience.
