    August June Desserts is a North Carolina Department of Agriculture approved home based bakery. We accept inquiries/orders on Tuesday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. We are closed on Monday, Saturday and Sunday. Please contact us at 704-594-5283,, or via the form on our Contact page.
  • Are your cakes made from cake mix or frozen sheet cakes?
    All cakes/desserts made by August June Desserts are made from scratch. We believe that there is NOTHING better than a freshly baked dessert!
  • Can I place an order on the morning of the date the cupcakes/cake are needed?
    August June Desserts takes pride in the fact that each order is custom and prepared just for you to ensure freshness and quaility. We recommend that you place your order as soon as you are aware of your event date as our calendar fills quickly. - Place cupcake/dessert cake/custom cake orders at least three weeks in advance of your event date so that we can ensure we have all items in stock to create the perfect dessert for you. - Place tiered cake or large orders at least two months in advance of your event date. - If a last-minute order is accepted, the price of the order will be doubled to accommodate and compensate us for the additional time spent to insert your order into our schedule, creating a cake design, and ordering supplies.
  • How much are your cakes?
    Our custom cakes start at $200.00 Our tiered buttercream cakes start at $8.00 per serving. Our tiered fondant cakes start at $10.00 per serving. The final price of the cake is dependent on the number of guests served, design complexity, and other factors such as fresh flowers, cake toppers, cake stand rental, and delivery and set-up.   • Can I order 3 different flavors in one dozen of cupcakes?
    There is a minimum order of two dozen cupcakes, with one flavor per dozen.
  • Can I customize cake and cupcake orders?
    Of course! August June Desserts enjoys customizing our desserts for your specific needs. For custom orders, please complete the form on the Contact page and someone from our team will contact you regarding your inquiry.
  • Do you replicate cakes from provided photos?
    We do not replicate cakes desgned by other bakers. We believe that each of our clients deserves a unique cake created specifically for their event. We do use ideas and photos provided by clients as inspiration to create the perfect cake.
  • Can you match the cake to the colors I am using for my event?
    For color matching, we ask that you provide a swatch of the shade(s) you want to utilize for your desserts/cake. We will do our best to match the color to within 3 shades (darker or lighter) of the provided swatch. With edible products and food grade dyes, exact matches are sometimes difficult to achieve. Please note that dark colors will sometimes taste a little bitter, or stain.
  • Do you offer cake tastings or samples?
    We provide cake tastings for orders with a minimum amount of $500.00. During the tasting, you will sample 3 different cake and frosting flavors. Cake tastings are $50.00. The fee must be paid in advance of the date the cake tasting will occur. If the fee is not received, the cake tasting will not occur. All of our desserts are custom made, and we do not use frozen samples. The fee covers the time and supplies to make the samples and provides compensation to us if samples are made, and the tasting is canceled. Tastings accommodate 2-3 people. If there are more than three people attending the cake tasting, there is a $20.00 fee per person. There is a $12 fee for each filling flavor requested. Please keep in mind that cake samples are prepared specifically for your appointment. We ask for the courtesy of 72 hours notice if your appointment needs to be rescheduled.   • Do you have gluten free cakes?
    We do not offer gluten free products.
  • Are your cakes allergen free?
    Our products are made in a facility that does come in contact with nuts/nut products.
  • What are your payment options?
    We accept payment via debit/credit card, or online payment via PayPal or Square.
  • Is a deposit required for my order?
    Orders are not placed on our calendar until the 50% non-refundable retainer or full payment is received. Communication via email or via phone regarding the order are not considered as “holding the date” for your event. Once the retainer or payment is received, your order will be added to our calendar and preparation will begin. The retainer/payment reserves your event date/time and is non-refundable or transferable. Invoices will be canceled if not paid on the due date. Orders are not processed or considered until the retainer/full payment has been made. An automated email reminder will be sent on the due date if the invoice has not been paid prior to the due date. The balance of your payment must be received two weeks prior to your event. If payment is not received, the contract is null and void, your deposit.
  • Can I pay for my order at the time of pick-up/delivery?
    All orders must be paid in full two weeks before your event date. Please utilize the online payment links that are included in your invoice.
  • Can I have my order shipped?
    At this time, we only offer shipping for our gourmet cookies and brownies when they are on the menu.
  • Will August June Desserts deliver my order?
    Yes, Local delivery is based on round trip mileage. Wedding cake delivery starts $25 plus round trip mileage.
  • Can my order be delivered to another city or state?
    We do travel to other cities or states. All expenses to travel out of state will be included in the final cost of your order. Travel expenses include transportation, lodging, meals, and any other expenses related to your order.
